Dang! That is twice the shuttle has landed here, going back to Florida from a California landing, and I didn't find out about it until it was all over.
The last few landings in CA I've even been trying to watch it close just so that I could go see it if it visits us again. The problem is that after it lands, it takes a week to get it prepped for the cross-country trip and during that time I forget about it cause it's not in the news. I actually remembered Thursday that I needed to check on it ... and got so busy that I didn't get it done. Couple that with that they never broadcast the exact cross-country route it is to take until it's already there. I was even out to the airport yesterday riding around on my bicycle at about the right time of the day. Did that one day too early! I've only got a few more chances maybe as they are set to retire the shuttles in about a year.
